Suite with double access, large stone shower, private garden with view

The Carruba Suite is a complex, entirely in exposed stone, of the central body of the Baglio Occhipinti and has two private and independent entrances: one from the courtyard of the Baglio, shared with the reception, and the other from the private garden for exclusive use of the Suite. Carob owes its own name to the carob tree present in the garden; discreet presence capable of giving shade and inebriated hints.

High wooden ceilings with exposed beams, white concrete floors and stone walls, each element amplifies the light and the natural warmth of the room. Two independent rooms of over 40 square meters welcome a bedroom, with a queen size bed and characterized by a large stone sink decorated with majolica from the early 1900s, and by a living room with a sofa bed for two people and two large armchairs. The suite can accommodate up to four guests. Period desk with large mirror, furniture from the Sicilian tradition, fine herbariums and ancient ceramics from Caltagirone give this suite the spirit and unique charm of Baglio Occhipinti.

The large bathroom is characterized by white, white walls, capable of enhancing the stone wall that lends itself as the natural backdrop for the large floor-level shower. The peasant staircase, a natural piece of furniture and a towel holder, is a silent witness to the history of these rooms. In the bathroom, the welcome gift of natural bio soap made exclusively at home for Baglio Occhipinti.

Carruba’s private garden offers a boundless view of the vineyards, the vegetable garden and the Iblei Mountains: by turning your gaze you can embrace three distinct environments that tell the nature of Sicily. The private garden is a real environment to be lived exclusively for the Suite: in the morning as a solarium reserved for enjoying the Sicilian sun, in the afternoon to laze and read books avidly accompanied by a glass of Cerasuolo di Vittoria, in the evening for a romantic dinner by candlelight, always inebriated by the scent of flowers and the sumptuous carob.
